TXM Recruit is working with a TOC in the West Midlands to recruit a Fleet Engineer. This role is suitable for someone from a railway graduate scheme with 4+ years of experience.

Purpose of Job & Principal Accountabilities
  1. Manage the process of Engineering Change with the Train Service Provider and Lessor, including scrutinising requests for change.
  2. Ensure accurate records of train configuration are maintained by the Train Service Provider.
  3. Hold regular review meetings with the Train Service Provider.
  4. Capture and manage safety issues effectively.
  5. Support the Fleet & Contract Manager in identifying and developing business cases to improve fleet reliability.
  6. Support the Fleet & Contract Manager in optimizing maintenance activities and extracting value from fleet operations.
  7. Deputise in all professional engineering matters.
  8. Participate in Fleet ‘On Call’ duties.
  9. Perform any other duties appropriate to the post.
Essential
  • The post holder must have Chartered Engineer status or be working towards it.
  • Degree qualification.
  • Experience with railway vehicle technical issues or depot management.
  • Personal Track Safety Awareness (TOC PTS Certification required on commencement).
