Position: Commercial Engineer - Rolling Stock

Salary:

Up to £60,000 per annum + Exceptional Benefits

Company Overview:

This excellent opportunity with an award-winning train operator servicing customers from London to coastal regions. The company prioritizes customer service and is seeking an exceptional individual to join their thriving team.

Candidate Profile:

As an experienced Rolling Stock professional within the Commercial environment, you will have knowledge of Train Service Agreements and strong commercial acumen, including negotiation skills and understanding of trains.

Job Responsibilities:
  1. Support the Engineering department regarding TSA agreements with Rolling Stock OEMs.
  2. Manage existing Contract and Service agreements, liaising with Leasing companies and Network Rail.
  3. Create, manage, and renew Engineering contracts following governance standards.
  4. Identify opportunities to improve value for money and reduce waste.
  5. Develop and oversee the department's annual budget in line with ABP processes.
  6. Ensure compliance with Environmental Management System requirements within Engineering.
Qualifications and Experience:
  • Preferably a Business Management Degree; relevant experience may suffice for lower qualifications.
  • Knowledge of statutory requirements, codes of practice, and industry standards.
  • Strong management, communication, and contract management skills.
  • Ability to produce clear and understandable documentation.
  • Experience in risk assessment, maintenance, and project prioritization.
  • Proven track record in cost-effective specification creation, estimating, and budget control.
  • Experience in surveying, inspecting, and auditing electrical and mechanical installations.
Additional Information:

Training will be provided as needed, depending on future duties.

Salary & Benefits:

£60,000 per annum, Final Salary Pension, Free & Discounted Rail Travel, flexible benefits, 25 days holiday + bank holidays.
