Job summary

• Experience in transport planning, logistics or fleet coordination.
• Strong knowledge of the UK road network.
• Experience planning multi-drop delivery routes.
• Excellent organisational and time-management skills.
• Strong communication skills with drivers and customers.
• Proficient in Excel and ERP/transport planning software.
• Ability to work under pressure and adapt to priorities.
• Strong problem-solving and decision-making abilities.

Responsibilities

• Plan and optimise daily delivery routes for a fleet of HGVs.
• Ensure efficient vehicle utilisation while meeting delivery requirements.
• Brief drivers on routes and schedules.
• Manage vehicle availability and maintenance planning to minimise downtime.
• Support MOT scheduling, defect reporting and compliance processes.
• Coordinate schedules with manufacturing, warehouse and customer service.
• Maintain clean, compliant working environment according to Health and Safety policy.
• Identify opportunities to improve transport efficiency and reduce costs.
• Ensure transport operations comply with road transport regulations.
