Job summary

Aspion in Bacup, Lancashire, is recruiting a Driver / Warehouse Operative for a full-time, permanent role from 6AM to 5PM Monday to Thursday (40 hours). The role combines driving a flatbed transit van with hands-on warehouse duties.

You will load/unload, operate an FLT (counterbalance preferred), perform manual handling, check loads, and help goods-in and goods-out while maintaining a safe, tidy site. The successful candidate will have a valid UK driving licence, experience with transit van/FLT,

Qualifications

• Full UK Driving Licence is required.
• Experience driving a Transit/Flatbed van or similar.
• FLT experience - Counterbalance preferred.
• Experience in a warehouse/engineering/manufacturing environment is advantageous.
• Comfortable with heavy lifting and physically demanding work.
• Good understanding of safe loading and unloading procedures.
• Reliable, hardworking and willing to support different areas of the operation.
• Good communication skills and a professional attitude when completing deliveries.

Responsibilities

• Drive a flatbed transit van to complete deliveries and collections.
• Load and unload vehicles safely and efficiently.
• Operate an FLT to move materials and equipment.
• Carry out regular manual handling and heavy lifting.
• Secure loads correctly before transportation.
• Support goods-in and goods-out activities.
• Check deliveries and ensure correct items are loaded.
• Assist with general warehouse and stores duties.
• Move equipment and materials around the site.
• Complete basic delivery and collection paperwork.
• Carry out basic vehicle checks.
• Maintain a clean, organised and safe working environment.
• Follow all company Health & Safety procedures.
