A well-recognised engineering business in Wolverhampton is recruiting a Fitter to join a modern workshop. You will assemble and install mechanical, hydraulic and electrical systems onto vehicles and specialist equipment in a varied, hands-on role.

No formal qualifications are required; the team values practical mechanical ability and a proactive attitude. The role offers starting pay of £14.49–£15.53 per hour, overtime paid at 150%, full training and long-term career development.

Qualifications

• No formal qualifications required; practical mechanical ability.
• Experience in mechanical fitting and assembly in bespoke environments.

Responsibilities

• General mechanical build and fitting work.
• Assembling and fitting hydraulic systems and some electrical systems.
• Installing components onto vehicles and specialist equipment.
• Reading and working from engineering drawings and schematics.
• MIG welding (training provided).
• Adhering to high quality and safety standards.
