Job summary

E3 Recruitment is seeking a Fitter for a permanent role in a well‑established engineering business in the UK. Starting pay is £14.49 per hour, rising to £15.53 after training, with overtime paid at 150%.

The role offers ongoing training, clear progression routes, and a supportive team in a modern workshop. The Fitter will assemble and install mechanical, hydraulic, and electrical systems on vehicles and bespoke equipment, reading drawings and schematics.

Qualifications

• Practical mechanical ability and hands-on attitude.
• No formal qualifications required, focus on skills and drive.

Responsibilities

• General mechanical build and fitting work.
• Assembling and fitting hydraulic, and some electrical systems.
• Installing components onto vehicles and specialist equipment.
• Reading and working from engineering drawings & schematics.
• MIG welding (training provided).
• Working to high quality and safety standards.
