Job summary

Arriva TrainCare is seeking a Fitter/Electrician for Crewe depot to perform maintenance on rail vehicles in line with procedures and timescales. You will operate rail vehicles as needed and ensure safety, quality, and environmental standards are met, signing off work when complete.

The role requires a Level 3 qualification in Electrical or Mechanical Engineering and familiarity with depot operations and engineering drawings.

Qualifications

• Must have a Level 3 qualification in Electrical or Mechanical Engineering.
• Experience in rail vehicle maintenance.
• Good understanding of depot operations and ability to read engineering drawings.

Responsibilities

• Carry out maintenance activities as assigned by Team Leader within timescales.
• Operate rail vehicles as required within depot limits.
• Follow safety, quality, and environmental procedures.
• Sign off work sheets on completion.
• Attend safety and quality briefings.
• Assist with rolling stock availability and reliability targets.
• Maintain depot housekeeping and PPE usage.
