Job summary

VANRATH, partnered with a leading manufacturer of containerised gas engines, seeks an experienced fitter to assist in fitting, stripping and welding duties and to help prepare sets for dispatch.

You will read technical drawings, follow health and safety practices, work as part of a team, and support other departments to meet production deadlines in a clean, safe environment.

Qualifications

• Proven experience as a fitter or in a similar manufacturing role.
• Solid grounding in welding, fitting and assembly techniques.
• Ability to interpret technical drawings and specifications.
• Knowledge of Health & Safety practices in manufacturing.
• Good communication and teamwork skills.

Responsibilities

• Assist with fitting, stripping, and welding duties associated with the build and dispatch of containerised engines
• Measure and fit differential pressure hoses accurately
• Complete tagging, cleaning, and painting of sets prior to dispatch
• Help maintain a tidy and safe shop floor environment
• Support team leaders and other departments to ensure production deadlines are met efficiently
