Qualifications

• Experience in a leadership role such as Installation Manager, Operations Manager, Contracts Manager, or equivalent.
• Strong planning, scheduling, and operational delivery capabilities.
• Experience managing engineers, field teams, or technical installation projects.
• Background in fire protection, fire & security, or related technical industry desirable.
• Commercial awareness with ability to manage performance and costs.

Responsibilities

• Take ownership of day-to-day installation operations, ensuring work is planned and delivered effectively.
• Support scheduling and coordination activities to maximise engineer productivity and customer satisfaction.
• Manage field-based teams, providing guidance, support, and leadership where required.
• Assist with resource planning to ensure engineers, materials, and equipment meet project requirements.
• Monitor operational performance and identify opportunities for improvement.
• Support resolution of installation issues to minimise delays and manage customer expectations.

Key Responsibilities - Installation Manager

• Take ownership of day-to-day installation operations, ensuring work is planned and delivered effectively
• Support scheduling and coordination activities to maximise engineer productivity and customer satisfaction
• Manage field-based teams, providing guidance, support, and leadership where required
• Assist with resource planning, ensuring engineers, materials, and equipment are available to meet project requirements
• Monitor operational performance and identify opportunities for improvement
• Support the resolution of installation issues, ensuring delays are minimised and customer expectations are managed
• Work closely with internal teams and customers to maintain smooth project delivery
• Ensure installation activities are completed in line with company procedures, industry standards, and health and safety requirements
• Lead regular planning meetings to review workloads, priorities, and upcoming requirements
• Promote a culture of quality, accountability, and continuous improvement across installation teams

Skills and experience - Installation Manager

• Previous experience within an Installation Manager, Operations Manager, Contracts Manager, or similar leadership role
• Experience managing engineers, field teams, or technical installation projects
• Strong understanding of planning, scheduling, and operational delivery
• Background within fire protection, fire & security, or a related technical industry is highly desirable
• Commercially aware with experience managing performance, costs, and operational efficiency
• Excellent communication and relationship-building skills
• Strong organisational skills with the ability to prioritise multiple workloads
• Experience monitoring KPIs and driving improvements within a service or installation environment
• Good understanding of health and safety responsibilities and compliance requirements
• Ability to motivate, support, and develop engineering teams
