Job summary

4way Recruitment has partnered with a leading fire protection organisation to recruit an experienced Installation Manager. The role oversees installation operations, supports field teams and ensures delivery to high standards while maintaining strong customer relationships.

The successful candidate will manage engineers, coordinate scheduling, and drive continuous improvement with a focus on safety and efficiency.

Qualifications

• Previous experience in a Senior/Managerial role leading installation teams or contracts.
• Experience managing engineers or field teams on installation projects.
• Strong planning, scheduling and operational delivery capabilities.
• Background in fire protection, fire & security or related technical industry is highly desirable.
• Commercial awareness with experience managing performance, costs and efficiency.
• Excellent communication and relationship-building skills.
• Strong organisational skills and ability to prioritise multiple workloads.
• Experience monitoring KPIs and driving improvements in service/installation environments.
• Good understanding of health and safety responsibilities and compliance.

Responsibilities

• Take ownership of day-to-day installation operations, ensuring work is planned and delivered effectively.
• Support scheduling and coordination activities to maximise engineer productivity and customer satisfaction.
• Manage field-based teams, providing guidance, support, and leadership where required.
• Assist with resource planning, ensuring engineers, materials, and equipment are available to meet project requirements.
• Monitor operational performance and identify opportunities for improvement.
• Support the resolution of installation issues, ensuring delays are minimised and customer expectations are managed.
• Work closely with internal teams and customers to maintain smooth project delivery.
• Ensure installation activities are completed in line with company procedures, industry standards, and health and safety requirements.
• Lead regular planning meetings to review workloads, priorities, and upcoming requirements.
• Promote a culture of quality, accountability, and continuous improvement across installation teams.
