YDU JC Air Cond & Ref Inc.- Dubai is hiring a Fire Suppression Design Engineer to join Xcell Misting, specializing in water mist and gas suppression systems. The role, based either in Hethel, Birmingham, or Manchester, requires hybrid working and travel UK-wide for site visits and design collaboration.

The ideal candidate will possess essential knowledge of LPC rules and proficiency in AutoCAD while managing client design issues and ensuring timely project delivery. A driving licence for UK travel is essential.

Qualifications

• Essential knowledge of LPC Rules, BS EN 12845, BS 9251, NFPA, FM Global.
• Proficiency in AutoCAD is required; 3D skills are a plus.
• A full UK driving licence with willingness to travel is necessary.

Responsibilities

• Design fire suppression systems including HP/LP Water Mist and Sprinklers.
• Conduct site surveys and create compliant designs.
• Manage design issues with clients and various stakeholders.
• Ensure commercial viability and timely delivery of packages.
• Complete Design Risk Assessments and meet customer standards.
• Collaborate closely with Sales and Contracts for project handover.

Skills

Proficiency in AutoCAD

Strong organizational skills

What You Will Do

We are hiring a Fire Suppression Design Engineer to join Xcell Misting, specialising in water mist and gas suppression systems. You will be responsible for full fire protection system designs based on site surveys or drawings. The role can be based in Hethel (Norfolk), Birmingham, or Manchester. This is a hybrid position that will require travelling UK wide. It involves site visits, design input, and close collaboration with Sales, Estimating, and Delivery teams to reduce installation issues and support project delivery.

How You Will Do It

• Design fire suppression systems (HP/LP Water Mist, Sprinklers, Dry/Wet Risers, Hose Reels, Hydrants)
• Conduct site surveys and create compliant designs
• Manage day-to-day design issues with clients, M&E teams, Fire Consultants, Installers, Authorities, and Insurers
• Ensure commercial viability and timely delivery of design packages
• Complete Design Risk Assessments and ensure all design variations meet customer and regulatory standards
• Work closely with Sales and Contracts to ensure smooth project handover and completion

What We Look For

• Essential: Knowledge of LPC Rules, BS EN 12845, BS 9251, NFPA, FM Global
• Proficiency in AutoCAD (3D skills a plus)
• Ability to produce hydraulic calculations and drawings
• Full UK driving licence, willingness to travel
