Wessex Fire & Security is seeking a full-time Fire & Security Service Engineer. Based at our Shaftesbury head office, you will service, maintain and fault‑find fire detection, CCTV, access control, and related security systems across the South/South West of England.
The role requires strong technical skills, BS 5839 knowledge, and the ability to read wiring diagrams; you will visit client sites, generate accurate service reports and support system upgrades.

Role Description This is a full-time, on-site Fire & Security Service Engineer role working out of our head office in Shaftesbury but covering the South/South West of England. The engineer will Service, maintain, fault find and carry out remedial works on fire detection systems, emergency lighting, intruder alarms, CCTV, access control, and related security equipment at residential and commercial sites. Daily tasks include conducting routine inspections, diagnosing faults, performing repairs, testing system performance, and ensuring compliance with relevant standards and regulations. The role involves completing accurate service reports, advising clients on system operation and basic troubleshooting, and coordinating with the office team to schedule visits and order parts. The engineer may also support system upgrades, participate in on-call rota arrangements, and follow all health and safety procedures while representing Wessex Fire & Security professionally on customer premises.
