Job summary

BluetownOnline Ltd is seeking a Fire & Security Engineer for a field-based role in the Greater Manchester area. You will install and commission fire and security equipment, maintain systems, and support remedial works while operating mainly on-site and meeting on-call requirements.

The role emphasizes customer service, safety, and working within a defined patch including Manchester, Oldham and Rochdale postcodes. A UK driving licence is essential and on/off-site availability is expected.

Qualifications

• 3+ years' experience installing, maintaining and fault-finding fire alarms, access control, intruder alarms and CCTV.
• L3 Qualification in Fire, Security preferred.
• Full UK Driving Licence.
• Excellent communication with customers face to face and over the phone.
• Self-motivated to work alone with a can-do attitude.
• Ability to manage workload with minimal supervision.

Responsibilities

• Install and commission fire and security equipment and remedial items.
• Maintain fire and security systems and expand knowledge across systems.
• Work predominantly field-based, lone working with a 1 in 4 on-call rota.
• Provide exceptional customer service and safeguard lives and property.
