Job summary

RCC Connect is hiring a Fire & Security Engineer for Manchester and surrounding areas. You will service, maintain, and fault-find on a range of fire and security systems across commercial and residential sites, including social housing and student accommodation.

The role covers Manchester with a call-out rota and requires experience in fault finding, strong knowledge of fire alarms, CCTV, intruder alarms, and access control, plus a full UK driving licence.

Qualifications

• Proven experience as a Fire & Security Engineer.
• Strong knowledge of fire alarm systems and regulations.
• Experience with security systems (intruder alarms, CCTV, access control).
• Able to fault-find and maintain independently.
• Up-to-date with fire safety regulations.
• Good communication and customer service skills.

Responsibilities

• Service, maintenance, and fault diagnosis of fire alarm systems.
• Maintenance and fault finding on security systems (intruder alarms, CCTV, access control).
• Testing and maintenance of emergency lighting.
• Attend reactive call-outs and resolve faults efficiently.
• Ensure compliance with current fire safety regulations and standards.
• Complete accurate service reports and documentation.
• Provide a professional, customer-focused service on-site.
