Job summary

Securitas Technology is hiring a Fire & Security Engineer to maintain and service fire and security systems across Yorkshire. You will own service calls, manage maintenance visits, and ensure high standards of customer service.

The role covers Access Control, Intrusion, CCTV, and related technologies, with responsibilities for stock and vehicle maintenance, and flexible callouts. The position requires at least 3 years in the security sector, a full UK driving licence, and eligibility for

• Use PDA management software to handle service calls and maintenance visits.
• Attend and resolve daily service calls plus scheduled maintenance work.

• Adopt a proactive, positive approach on every job.
• Join the callout rota with potential for extra earnings.
• Work flexibly to meet client demand.
• Be based within ~30 minutes of your working area.

We’re Hiring: Fire & Security Engineer! At Securitas Technology, we’re searching for a proactive Fire & Security Engineer to maintain and service fire & security systems. In this role, you’ll have the autonomy to take ownership of issues, resolve them effectively, and prevent future challenges. As a Fire & Security Engineer, you’ll play a key role in maintaining and supporting our customers’ systems across technologies such as: Access Control, Intrusion Protection, Video Surveillance, Door Entry, Audio Alarm Verification, Staff Protection, Public Address, Time & Attendance, and LED Lighting. This will be covering the Yorkshire area.

• Be based within ~30 minutes of your working area for responsive service.

Qualifications

Eligibility & Clearance

• Must be eligible to obtain Security Clearance (SC).

Technical Knowledge

• Intruder systems such as Texecom, Galaxy, Pacom & GE ranges.
• Access Control (PC-based & standalone): Lenel, CEM, C-Cure, PAC & Paxton.
• CCTV systems across analogue and IP platforms.
• Advantageous: experience with Milestone, Dahua, Genetec, and CEM.
• Strong IP networking skills and understanding of basic electrical principles.

Experience & Skills

• At least 3 years’ experience in the security systems industry.
• Proven field service/technical experience.
• Clean full UK driving licence
• Solid understanding of industry standards.
• The right to work in the UK, with a 5-year checkable history
• Strong problem-solving skills and ability to work independently.
• Excellent customer service track record.
• Ability to spot and refer potential sales opportunities (commission available).
• Good communication, time management, and planning skills.
