Job summary

W4G Fire & Security is seeking a diligent Fire & Security Engineer to install, maintain and upgrade integrated fire and electronic security systems across our UK client base. Based near the M4 corridor, you will ensure systems meet our exacting standards while delivering excellent customer service.

You will handle IP and analogue CCTV, intruder alarms and access control, travel as required, and participate in an on‑call rota. Training and progression are encouraged.

Qualifications

Experience as a multi-disciplined engineer with fire and security systems.
Full UK driving licence and willingness to travel/join on-call rota.
Strong IT skills and familiarity with Windows.

Responsibilities

Install and maintain fire and security systems to standards.
Respond to service calls on all types of systems.
Participate in the on-call rota (currently 1 in 6).
Meet KPIs and SLAs for service delivery.
Collaborate with Coordinators and Management to cover jobs and stock.
Attend training and stay updated on industry standards.

Summary

We are seeking a Fire & Security Engineer to join our team. This role is vital in ensuring the installation, maintenance, and upgrade of fire and electronic security systems align with our company's standards of excellence. Based near to the M4 corridor, you will contribute to safeguarding our clients' assets through expert system installation and maintenance in the region.

Responsibilities

Installation & Maintenance: Install and maintain fire and security systems in line with current standards and customer requirements.
Service Calls: Respond promptly to service calls on all types of fire and security systems.
On-Call Support: Participate in an out-of-hours rota for service provision (currently 1 in 6).
Performance: Meet attendance times and other KPIs and SLAs to ensure exceptional service.
Team Collaboration: Work closely with Coordinators and the Management team to ensure all jobs are covered and that stock levels are maintained.
Continuous Improvement: Attend training sessions and engineering team meetings, and proactively identify personal training and development needs. Stay updated on industry standards, safety regulations, and technological advancements.

About you

We are looking for someone with the drive and enthusiasm to provide outstanding customer service every day. Our ideal candidate will have:

Experience as a multi-disciplined engineer with a thorough knowledge of fire and security systems, including both IP and analogue CCTV, intruder alarms, networked access control systems and fire alarms.
