Job summary

Johnson Controls, Inc. seeks a Fire and/or Security Design Engineer. You will design and price fire detection and security systems to meet BS standards, using AutoCAD/Revit as needed, and manage design from tender through to installation.

The role emphasizes commercial awareness and customer-ready technology solutions. Hybrid work is available. The ideal candidate has 5+ years in Fire or Security systems, strong communication, and stakeholder management skills.

Qualifications

• Minimum 5 years’ experience in Fire OR Security systems.
• UK resident for the past 5 years and security clearance eligible.
• Strong communication and stakeholder management skills.
• Experience in fast-paced, collaborative environments.

Responsibilities

• Design and price fire detection, life safety, or security systems to meet standards.
• Formulate and present technical Fire, Life Safety, or Security solutions across multiple sites.
• Utilise AutoCAD/Revit for complete systems or modifications, through tender to installation.
• Demonstrate commercial awareness and present technology solutions to customers.
• Navigate ambiguity, meet deadlines, and manage change with strategic planning.
• Work with the on site team through to system hand over and practical commissioning.
