Job summary

Johnson Controls Fire & Security Design Engineer role in Sunbury-on-Thames offers hybrid work with 2 days in the office. You will provide design support across Fire and Security projects, ensuring compliance and alignment to client requirements.

You will produce and review technical drawings using AutoCAD and Revit, coordinate with Project Managers and customers, and support project handover and site visits. BS5839-1 knowledge and UK residency are required.

Qualifications

• 5 years of experience in a Fire/ Security post-design engineering role.
• Strong technical knowledge of Fire or Security systems.
• Knowledge of BS5839-1 and industry standards.
• Experience on projects valued at 500k+.
• Proficiency in AutoCAD.
• Proficiency in Revit.
• Strong stakeholder management and communication.
• Excellent attention to detail and prioritisation.
• Experience in fast-paced, collaborative project environments.
• UK residency for security vetting (last 5 years).

Responsibilities

• Provide design support across Fire and/or Security projects during the delivery phase.
• Review designs and modify information to ensure compliant delivery.
• Ensure designs meet standards and customer requirements.
• Coordinate with Project Managers, Engineers, Installers and customers.
• Produce technical drawings using AutoCAD and Revit.
• Support project handover and site visits to resolve issues.
• Manage multiple projects and deadlines, improving design quality and communication.
