Job summary

Faithorn Farrell Timms is seeking a Fire Surveyor to deliver fire safety inspections, surveys and assessments across residential, commercial, educational, healthcare and public sector buildings. You will advise on fire safety legislation, building regulations, passive fire protection and risk management, working with other professionals to manage client projects.

Qualifications

• Degree or equivalent in Building Surveying, Fire Engineering, Construction Management or related discipline, with a recognised fire safety qualification.
• Strong knowledge of fire safety legislation and passive fire protection.
• Building surveys and inspection experience with reporting skills.
• Excellent written and oral communication with clients and multidisciplinary teams.

Responsibilities

• Undertake fire safety surveys and inspections of existing buildings, including intrusive and non-intrusive assessments.
• Identify and assess fire safety risks, providing recommendations to clients on compliance and remedial work.
• Prepare detailed technical reports, specifications and schedules of works.
• Provide regulatory and technical advice relating to fire legislation and Building Regulations.
• Support construction, refurbishment and remediation projects, reviewing proposals and inspecting works on site.
• Build strong client relationships and contribute to the wider team with clear documentation.
