Job summary

Thomas & Adamson, part of the Egis Group, seeks a Fire Consultant to join our Glasgow team. You will lead on fire strategies, support cladding remediation, and help grow a dedicated fire engineering discipline across projects in the UK.

Working alongside Building Surveying, Project Management and design teams, you will develop solutions, mentor colleagues, and ensure compliance with UK standards while delivering high-quality client outcomes.

Qualifications

• Degree in a Fire related subject with substantial consultancy experience.
• Strong knowledge of UK codes and standards (e.g., ADB/Scottish Handbooks, BS 9999, BS 9991).
• Proven ability to develop fire strategies, means of escape design, and smoke control principles.

Responsibilities

• Lead on project delivery and build the team capability for fire engineering.
• Develop fire strategies, remediation plans and associated documentation for verification and handover.
• Coordinate multi-disciplinary teams and manage time, cost, and quality across projects.
