Job summary

Complete Security Recruitment is seeking an experienced Associate Director of Fire Engineering to lead complex fire engineering projects from inception to completion in London or Manchester. You will provide technical leadership, review fire strategies, manage budgets and programmes, and mentor engineers within the team.

You will build strong client relationships, engage with architects and contractors, and contribute to the consultancy's growth and strategic direction in a senior leadership

Qualifications

• Strong background in fire engineering consultancy.
• Excellent knowledge of UK fire safety legislation, guidance and standards.
• Strong experience producing and reviewing fire strategies.
• Experience managing projects, budgets, programmes and resources.
• Confidence managing client relationships and multidisciplinary teams.
• Experience mentoring and developing engineers.
• Commercial mindset and interest in business development.
• Strong project management and organisational skills.
• The confidence to take ownership of projects and client relationships.

Responsibilities

• Lead complex fire engineering projects from inception through to completion, providing technical leadership.
• Prepare and review fire strategies and technical documentation.
• Manage project budgets and programmes, and develop client relationships.
• Support business development and represent the consultancy at client meetings and industry events.
• Mentor engineers within the fire engineering team.
• Contribute to the wider strategic direction and growth of the consultancy.
