Job summary

RLB is seeking an Associate Fire Engineer in Manchester with a strong background in fire safety consultancy. You will join a multi-disciplinary team, delivering services across fire engineering, risk assessments, and building safety guidance for public and private sector clients.

The role offers hybrid working in Manchester, with opportunities to lead projects, mentor juniors, and contribute to business development while upholding high standards of technical delivery.

Qualifications

• Experience delivering fire safety consultancy to clients in public and private sectors.
• Strong knowledge of UK fire safety legislation and standards.
• Membership of IFE/IFSM or equivalent.

Responsibilities

• Assist/lead a team of fire consultants.
• Provide guidance to the Partner on complex projects.
• Assist in completing PQQ/bid documents.
• Ensure quality assurance and client compliance.
• Visit sites to deliver fire consultancy services.
• Provide fire safety training and advisory services.
• Liaise with enforcing authorities as required.
• Develop the Fire Consultancy Service and assist with financial reporting.
