Job summary

Public Services Delivery Scotland seeks an Assistant Fire Safety Advisor to join the Architecture and Design team, reporting to the National Fire Safety Advisors. You will support delivery of outputs from contractors and provide guidance on a broad range of fire safety issues.

The role involves assisting with NDAP/KSAR processes, developing NHS Scotland Guidance, and researching best practices in fire safety related to building design.

Qualifications

• The candidate must have a degree in fire engineering or an equivalent demonstrable experience in fire safety.
• Candidates with fire safety sector experience and a willingness to learn will also be considered.

Responsibilities

• Provide advice, guidance and support on a broad range of fire safety issues.
• Support Design teams, fire safety advisors in delivering the NDAP and KSAR processes.
• Assist with development and administration of NHS Scotland Guidance documentation.
• Contribute to initiatives by researching good practice and innovative thinking in fire safety for building design.
