Zusammenfassung

Metropolitan Thames Valley is seeking a Contracts Manager in the Fire Safety team to lead the delivery of Fire Safety Regulations and Block Inspection Programs across MTVH’s portfolio.

You will manage a programme of works with external contractors, monitor budgets, ensure regulatory compliance and deliver value for money, while collaborating with consultants to maintain high standards of service.

Qualifikationen

• Familiarity with regulatory compliance in housing and fire safety.
• Ability to run complex programmes and manage significant budgets.
• Knowledge and experience of contract administration (e.g., JCT/NEC/TPC).
• Excellent negotiating skills and ability to maintain client relationships.
• Excellent IT skills: Word, Outlook, Excel.
• Technical competence in the fire safety workstreams and related regulations.
• Experience building relationships with contractors, stakeholders and customers.
• Experience managing procurement processes.
• Strong understanding of Fire Safety Regulations and Building Act.

Aufgaben

• Monitor contractual budgets and ensure value for money throughout each contract.
• Ensure contracts meet statutory, regulatory and MTVH requirements.
• Develop business plans for capital works programmes.
• Conduct regular staff reviews and one-to-ones with team members.
• Process contract payments in line with terms and MTVH regulations.
• Review quality assurance reports to verify workmanship meets standards.
• Lead contract management meetings and coordinate contract administration.
• Handle enquiries and complaints within defined timescales and drive improvements.
• Assist with procurement and provide feedback on contract specifications.
• Review lease terms to reflect management repair liability and charges (MBOA).
• Deliver Fire Safety inspections to meet regulatory requirements.
• Lead a small team to deliver inspection regimes and follow-on works.
• Collaborate with contractors to meet targets on productivity and KPI.
• Collect and analyze information to prepare performance reports with accurate data.
