Job summary

NWSSP – Specialist Estates Services in Cardiff seeks an Assistant Fire Safety Advisor to support fire safety across the NHS estate in Wales. You will help the Principal Fire Safety Engineer with guidance for Welsh Government, Health Boards/Trusts and stakeholders.

The role requires a relevant degree and strong IT and communication skills; Welsh language ability is a plus. The post allows agile working and travel across the Principality.

Qualifications

Degree or equivalent in fire safety related field; strong IT literacy and communication skills.
Experience in fire safety roles, knowledge of policy and legislation is advantageous.

Responsibilities

Support Principal Fire Safety Engineer and Advisor on NHS Wales fire safety issues.
Advise on compliance with WG directives and fire safety legislation.
Monitor performance and identify areas for improvement to safeguard patients and staff.
