Job summary

Catch 22 requires an experienced Fire Safety Advisor for a temporary 3–6 month role in Leeds. You will conduct fire risk assessments, deliver training, and support compliance across a multi-site healthcare estate.

Travel between sites is expected, with an emphasis on driving a strong fire safety culture and policy implementation. You should bring a recognised fire safety qualification and extensive knowledge of current legislation, HTM guidance, and best practices.

Qualifications

• Qualified in fire safety with a degree, diploma, or equivalent.
• Significant experience in fire safety environments, ideally healthcare, commercial or public sector.

Responsibilities

• Carry out fire risk assessments and fire safety audits across multiple sites.

Fire Safety Advisor

Location: Leeds (Multi-Site Travel Required)

Contract: Temporary Assignment (3-6 Months)

Hours: 37.5 Hours Per Week

Pay Rate: From £16.97 depending upon experience

Catch 22 are recruiting for an experienced Fire Safety Advisor on a temporary contract for 3-6 months.

This is an excellent opportunity to play a key role in supporting statutory fire safety compliance across a large and diverse healthcare estate. You'll work closely with stakeholders across multiple sites, providing expert guidance, conducting fire risk assessments, delivering training, and helping to drive a positive fire safety culture throughout the organisation. Based on the job description and person specification, the role focuses on ensuring compliance with fire legislation, supporting fire safety systems and procedures, and deputising for the Fire Safety Manager when required.

Key Responsibilities

• Carry out fire risk assessments and fire safety audits across multiple sites.
• Deliver fire safety training and awareness sessions to staff.
• Review, monitor and action findings from fire risk assessments.
• Provide specialist fire safety advice to managers, contractors and stakeholders.
• Support the development and implementation of fire safety policies and procedures.
• Ensure compliance with fire legislation, NHS guidance and best practice.
• Contribute to performance reporting, governance and assurance activities.
• Deputise for the Fire Safety Manager as required.

What We're Looking For

• Relevant Fire Safety qualification, degree, diploma, or equivalent Fire Service training.
• Significant experience working within fire safety environments, ideally including healthcare, commercial or public sector settings.
• Strong knowledge of fire safety legislation, HTM guidance and approved documents.
• Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills.
• Ability to work independently and manage competing priorities.
• Competent user of Microsoft Office applications including Excel, Word and PowerPoint.
• Full UK driving licence and willingness to travel between sites.
• Enhanced DBS or willingness to undergo a DBS check.
