Job summary

Argus Fire, part of the Mitie Group, is seeking a Site Manager to oversee installation, testing and commissioning of mechanical fire protection, gas suppression and fire detection systems on UK sites. The role requires leadership of on-site teams and sub-contractors, strict adherence to safety and method statements, and close liaison with clients.

You will drive site safety, coordinate proposals and inspections, and travel between UK sites as needed to ensure project milestones are met.

Qualifications

• Directly responsible to the Project Manager and Operations Manager.
• Oversee day-to-day installation, testing and commissioning of fire protection systems.
• Oversee site installation sub-contractors with safety and adherence to method statements and risk assessments.
• Deliver regular site safety toolbox talks to site team.
• Liaise with client representatives at site level and with Argus Fire project team.
• Carry out regular snagging inspections and completion of paperwork.
• Ensure on-site safety checks on equipment and related checklists.

Responsibilities

• Oversee and manage day-to-day installation, testing and commissioning of fire protection systems.
• Supervise site installation sub-contractors ensuring compliance with safety and method statements.
• Coordinate meetings with clients, and progress and safety inspections on site.
• Lead safety toolbox talks and ensure site paperwork is complete.
