Job summary

Brandon James, on behalf of a well-established multi-disciplinary consultancy in Leeds, is looking to appoint a Fire Protection Engineer to join their growing team. The role offers exposure to commercial, residential, healthcare, education and mixed-use projects, with the chance to develop alongside senior fire specialists.

You will review designs, ensure compliance with UK regulations, prepare reports and attend design meetings while liaising with clients and contractors.

Qualifications

• Experience in fire protection, fire engineering or related building services.
• Knowledge of active and passive fire protection systems.
• Understanding UK fire safety legislation and Building Regulations.
• Strong communication and client liaison skills.
• Driving licence is beneficial.
• Membership of IFE/CIBSE/IFSM or similar is advantageous.

Responsibilities

• Review fire protection designs and advise on active and passive protection measures.
• Ensure projects comply with legislation, standards and best practice.
• Prepare technical reports.
• Attend design meetings.
• Carry out site inspections and review drawings.
• Support clients with practical fire protection advice.
