Job summary

Qualifications

• Higher education qualification in engineering and/or fire safety.
• Demonstrable professional experience delivering fire and life safety designs for UK-based projects.
• Track record of achieving prescriptive and performance-based design approvals.

Responsibilities

• Project manage fire engineering projects with the team.
• Inform and support the building design aspirations throughout the design process.
• Engage with clients and provide consultancy on projects.
• Oversee financial performance of projects, including invoicing and monitoring.
• Represent Buro Happold Fire Engineering at design team meetings.
• Specify fixed fire protection systems where appropriate (e.g., detection and suppression).
• Carry out and review fire engineering calculations including smoke modelling and evacuation analyses.
