Job summary

Together Housing Group in the Yorkshire & Humber region is seeking a Fire Joinery Technician to join the People and Property Safety team. You will carry out fire safety and joinery works, installing and maintaining fire doors and fire-stopping measures to keep our homes safe and compliant.

You will deliver high-quality repairs, provide excellent customer service, and work with colleagues to uphold high standards across our properties.

Qualifications

• Experience in all aspects of joinery within repairs and maintenance.
• Experience delivering excellent customer service.
• Experience maximising jobs completed within one visit.
• Experience installing fire-rated joinery products.
• Strong knowledge of Health & Safety within repair and maintenance environments.
• City & Guilds Advanced Craft Certificate in Carpentry & Joinery or equivalent (NVQ Level 2) - Essential
• NVQ Level 2 Passive Fire Protection (or willingness to achieve within 24 months) - Essential
• Full driving licence - Essential

Responsibilities

• Carry out joinery repairs to occupied and vacant properties with quality and safety.
• Install fire doors and fire-stopping to protect fire compartmentation.
• Plan workload to minimise downtime and ensure on-schedule completion.
• Provide excellent customer care and maintain a tidy working environment.
• Diagnose issues, obtain approvals, and ensure cost-effective delivery.
• Maintain health and safety records, assess risks, and report hazards.
• Complete job sheets daily and manage van stock and materials.
