Job summary

Together Housing Group is seeking a Fire Joinery Technician to cover properties across the Yorkshire & Humber region. You will install and maintain fire doors and fire-stopping, carry out joinery repairs, and ensure high safety and quality standards for residents.

We expect experience in joinery repairs, strong customer service, and knowledge of Health & Safety. A full driving licence is essential, with career development and a supportive benefits package offered.

Qualifications

• Experience in joinery within repairs and maintenance.
• Experience delivering excellent customer service.
• Experience installing fire-rated joinery products.
• Strong knowledge of Health & Safety.
• City & Guilds Advanced Craft Carpentry & Joinery or NVQ Level 2 is essential.
• NVQ Level 2 Passive Fire Protection required or willing to achieve within 24 months.
• Full driving licence is essential.

Responsibilities

• Carry out joinery repairs to occupied and vacant properties, ensuring quality, compliance and right first time delivery.
• Install fire doors and fire-stopping to protect fire compartmentation.
• Plan and organise workload efficiently, minimising downtime and ensuring work is completed safely and on schedule.
• Provide excellent customer care, protecting tenants' homes during works, communicating clearly, and maintaining a clean, tidy working environment.
• Use initiative to diagnose issues, obtain approvals where required and ensure cost-effective delivery.
• Ensure all work complies with Health & Safety legislation, risk assessments, and working procedures, reporting hazards promptly.
• Maintain accurate electronic and paper records, completing job sheets daily.
• Manage van stock responsibly, ensuring materials are accounted for, and uphold vehicle safety and cleanliness standards.
• Procure materials responsibly in line with framework agreements and report any quality concerns.
• Uphold equality, diversity, and customer service standards in all interactions.
• Support trainees/apprentices and contribute positively as part of the wider team.
