Job summary
Equans UK & Ireland in London is seeking a Fire Engineer to join our team on a full-time permanent basis. You will support delivering fire engineering and safety services across regeneration, retrofit, and new-build developments, including HRBs, collaborating with multidisciplinary design teams to develop compliant, innovative fire safety solutions.
The role requires knowledge of UK Building Regulations, experience with fire strategies, risk assessments and MMC integration, and a drive to
Qualifications
- Degree in Fire Engineering or related discipline with relevant registration.
- Experience in fire engineering or fire safety consultancy, including HRBs.
- Understanding UK Building Regulations and fire safety legislation.
- Ability to manage workload across multiple projects.
- Full UK driving licence and willingness to travel.
Responsibilities
- Deliver fire engineering design and strategies that meet UK standards.
- Prepare retrospective strategies for existing buildings, including HRBs.
- Review facade remediation, cavity barriers and passive fire protection.
- Produce calculations and technical assessments for design solutions.
- Conduct fire risk assessments and provide improvement recommendations.
- Coordinate with BIM and multidisciplinary teams to integrate fire safety.
