Job summary

Niyaa People is seeking an experienced Fire Engineer to join an established UK business delivering innovative fire safety solutions across diverse developments. The role offers hybrid working, a collaborative culture and strong opportunities for long-term progression.

You will produce fire strategies, technical reports and assessments, mentoring juniors and contributing to design reviews on a variety of challenging projects across the country.

Qualifications

• BSc/BEng/MSc/MEng or equivalent qualification.
• Minimum two years' experience in a fire engineering consultancy.
• Experience delivering fire engineering solutions on UK-based developments.
• Membership of a recognised professional institution (e.g., IFE) with progression towards CEng.

Responsibilities

• Produce fire strategy reports, technical notes and engineering documentation.
• Develop practical, compliant solutions for new-build and existing developments.
• Carry out risk assessments, means of escape calculations, smoke modelling and performance-based analysis.
• Attend design team meetings, offering technical guidance and innovative ideas.
• Support project delivery from concept through to construction and occupation.
• Assist with project coordination, planning and client communication.
• Visit sites to review implementation and gain practical experience.
