Job summary
Brandon James in Birmingham seeks an experienced Fire Engineer to work on high‑rise residential, commercial and mixed‑use schemes. You will deliver fire strategies and assessments for complex projects, collaborating with architects, contractors and design teams to ensure compliance and safety.

Qualifications
- Degree in Fire Engineering or a relevant engineering discipline.
- Experience in a fire engineering consultancy.
- Strong understanding of BS 9999, BS 7974 and Approved Document B.
- Knowledge of building regulations and fire safety standards.
- Strong technical reporting and client-facing skills.
- IFE membership desirable.
Responsibilities
- Producing detailed fire strategies for residential and commercial developments.
- Undertaking fire engineering assessments on complex buildings.
- Reviewing existing building designs and identifying fire safety improvements.
- Supporting façade and external wall fire safety assessments where appropriately qualified.
- Working alongside architects, contractors and design teams.
- Providing technical advice on fire safety compliance and engineering solutions.
