Job summary

Ridge and Partners LLP is seeking a Fire Engineer to join our award-winning teams in Leeds or any of our offices. You will contribute to fire strategy reports, fire risk assessments, and a range of design and on-site tasks within multidisciplinary projects.

You should be fully conversant with current fire safety legislation, hold a degree in fire safety or fire risk engineering, and be a member of the Institution of Fire Engineers with professional registration in progress.

Qualifications

• Fully conversant with Building Regulations and the Fire Safety Order, and related standards.
• Understanding of current fire safety issues, trends and best practice.
• Professional registration with an Engineering Council or working towards it.

Responsibilities

• Preparing fire strategy reports and coordinating with design stakeholders throughout the design process.
• Assisting clients with meeting requirements under Building Regulations and Fire Safety legislation.
• Carrying out fire risk analyses and advising on suitable control measures.
• Supporting internal design teams on multi-disciplinary projects.
• Working across diverse buildings and fire safety challenges.
• Co-ordinating inspections and planning works on site within budgets and deadlines.
• Providing guidance for Building Regulations approvals on fire-related matters.
• Assist with fire risk assessments under Ridge’s certified systems where applicable.
