Job summary

Morson Group is recruiting for 4 Fire Engineers in London to join a major infrastructure renewals programme. The role covers fire systems, compartmentation and safety strategy across station, depot and infrastructure projects, with a focus on design assurance and technical governance.

You'll work within a multidisciplinary team, in a hybrid London-based environment, supporting surveys, optioneering and project delivery through the full lifecycle.

Qualifications

• 5+ years of fire engineering experience.
• Experience reviewing, assuring or approving designs.
• Strong understanding of fire systems and fire compartmentation.
• Ability to coordinate interfaces across multiple disciplines.
• Experience supporting projects through the full engineering lifecycle.

Responsibilities

• Provide fire engineering and technical assurance across projects.
• Review designs produced by external consultants and contractors.
• Support surveys, feasibility studies and optioneering.
• Assess fire systems, compartmentation and safety strategies.
• Collaborate with mechanical, electrical and multidisciplinary teams.

We are currently recruiting for 4 Fire Engineers to join a major infrastructure and renewals programme, supporting a diverse portfolio of station, depot and infrastructure projects across London.

This is an excellent opportunity to work on complex engineering projects including station enhancements, step-free access schemes, depot projects, fire mains and fire systems upgrades.

The Role

Working within a multidisciplinary engineering team, you will provide fire engineering expertise throughout the project lifecycle, supporting engineering assurance, design reviews and technical acceptance activities across multiple projectsesponsibilities

• Providing fire engineering and technical assurance support across multiple projects.


• Reviewing and accepting designs produced by external consultants and contractors.


• Supporting surveys, feasibility studies and optioneering activities.


• Assessing fire systems, compartmentation and fire safety strategies.


• Working closely with mechanical, electrical and multidisciplinary engineering teams.


• Providing technical guidance and assurance throughout project delivery.

Essential Skills & Experience

• 5+ years’ experience within fire engineering.


• Experience reviewing, assuring or approving engineering designs.


• Strong understanding of fire systems and/or fire compartmentation.


• Ability to assess and manage interfaces across multiple engineering disciplines.


• Experience supporting projects through the full engineering lifecycle.

• Chartered Engineer status.


• Degree qualification in Fire Engineering or a related discipline.


• Experience within rail, transportation, aviation, defence or other complex infrastructure environments.

Working Arrangements

• Hybrid working environment.


• Typically 2-3 days per week in the office.


• Combination of office, home working and site visits across London.


• Occasional night inspections may be required.
