Job summary

PuroBuild is seeking a Degree-qualified Fire Engineer for our London team. The role involves developing fire strategies, performing CFD modelling to assess smoke movement, and delivering technical reports across diverse projects.

You will work with architects and engineers, applying fire safety legislation and standards while pursuing professional development and career progression in a dynamic environment.

Qualifications

• Degree in Fire Engineering, Mechanical Engineering or equivalent.
• Experience in a fire engineering consultancy or similar environment.
• Knowledge of fire strategy development and fire safety design.
• Experience using CFD modelling software and performing thermal analysis.
• Understanding of fire safety legislation, BS standards and guidance.
• Strong analytical, problem-solving and report-writing abilities.

Responsibilities

• Develop and deliver fire strategies for various building types.
• Perform fire engineering design and technical assessments.

• Conduct thermal modelling and analysis.

Fire Engineer - London

Salary: £50,000 per annum

We are looking for a talented and motivated Degree-Qualified Fire Engineer to join our growing team in London.

This is an excellent opportunity to work across a varied portfolio of projects, combining fire engineering design, CFD thermal modelling and fire strategy development.

Key Responsibilities

• Developing and delivering fire strategies for a range of building types.
• Undertaking fire engineering design and technical assessments.
• Carrying out CFD modelling to assess smoke movement and fire scenarios.
• Undertaking thermal modelling and analysis.
• Preparing technical reports, calculations and design documentation.
• Working alongside architects, structural engineers and other design professionals.
• Providing technical fire safety advice throughout the design and construction process.

About You

• Degree qualified in Fire Engineering, Mechanical Engineering or a relevant engineering discipline.
• Experience within a fire engineering consultancy or similar environment.
• Knowledge of fire strategy development and fire safety design.
• Experience using CFD modelling software and undertaking thermal analysis.
• Understanding of relevant fire safety legislation, British Standards and engineering guidance.
• Strong analytical, problem-solving and report-writing skills.
