Job summary

Axis CLC is recruiting a dedicated fire door surveyor for a long-term contract with Bradford Teaching Hospitals. You will carry out detailed surveys across six hospital sites, focusing on inspection, assessment and reporting to ensure fire safety compliance.

You should bring strong technical knowledge, regulatory understanding and practical inspection skills, with the ability to identify defects and prepare compliant documentation for estates and compliance teams.

Responsibilities

• Conduct thorough surveys of existing fire doors, assessing condition, compliance, and performance.
• Record non-compliances, wear, damage, and issues affecting certification.
• Produce accurate survey reports for estates and compliance teams.
• Work through an ongoing inspection schedule across all sites.
• Liaise with hospital estates staff and contract managers.
• Ensure surveys align with current fire safety legislation and standards.
