Job summary

Axis CLC Group is seeking a Fire Door Installer to join our national maintenance team. You will install fire door sets, perform maintenance, and coordinate with management to ensure safety standards.

The ideal candidate has NVQ Level 2 in Joinery or equivalent and a CSCS card, with proven carpentry experience in social housing or health sectors. We offer progression, training, and comprehensive benefits.

Qualifications

• Proven experience as a carpenter.

• Trade background with health and safety on site.

• Liaise with management daily.
• Carry out fire door assessments and record findings.
• Use company recording programs to capture work on doors.

The Role

To support our continued growth, we are currently seeking a Fire Door Installer to join our team. We are looking for someone who demonstrates a polite, friendly, and flexible can-do attitude, and is a strong team player, while showing a genuine interest in fire safety, along with a willingness to expand their knowledge and take on new challenges.

Responsibilities

• Installation of Fire Door Sets
• All aspects of fire door maintenance
• Working in a team and independently when required
• Liaise with management team daily
• Carry out Fire door assessments and record findings
• Ability to use company recording programs to capture works being carried out to the door/installation.

About You

• NVQ Level 2 or equivalent qualification in Joinery or other relevant trade, or equivalent level of competence obtained from on-the-job experience
• CSCS Card
• Proven experience working as a Carpenter
• Experience in working in the social housing/health/high street sector
• Trade background experience
• Knowledge/Awareness of Health and Safety on site
• Fire door upgrade repair techniques
• The ability to work under pressure and meet deadlines
• Ability to use own initiative
• Excellent communication skills
• Ability to diagnose/problem solve
