Job summary

InVision Group is seeking an experienced Fire Door Surveyor to support projects across the North, from Manchester to Scotland. You will conduct surveys and inspections, assess compliance, and document findings with remedial recommendations.

The role requires extensive travel, a flexible approach to site requirements, and proficiency with BORIS reporting. A valid UK driving licence is essential, with FIRAS exposure desirable.

Qualifications

• Experience carrying out fire door surveys and inspections.
• Understanding of fire door components and compliance requirements.
• Experience using BORIS reporting software.
• Willingness to travel extensively across the North.
• Strong attention to detail and accurate reporting.
• FIRAS accreditation or FIRAS standards experience is desirable.

Responsibilities

• Conduct fire door surveys and inspections across commercial and residential properties.
• Assess fire doors against standards and compliance requirements.
• Identify defects and remedial works needed.
• Produce accurate survey reports with recommended actions.
• Record survey findings in BORIS and maintain project records.
• Liaise with clients and site teams on outcomes and requirements.
• Ensure inspections and reports are completed on time.
• Travel across the North from Manchester to Scotland as required.
