Job summary

RGE Services Ltd is seeking an experienced Carpenter with proven fire door experience to join our team in Hampshire. You will install, repair and upgrade fire doors, assess components and ensure compliance with safety standards while delivering high-quality workmanship.

The role expects independent work, strong customer-facing skills and a valid UK driving licence. We offer a full-time, permanent position with training and development opportunities, plus company vehicle/tools as required.

Qualifications

• Proven experience as a qualified/skilled carpenter.
• Strong practical experience working with fire doors.
• Good knowledge of fire door components, installation and remedial requirements.
• Excellent attention to detail and pride in workmanship.
• Ability to work independently and manage workloads effectively.
• Good communication and customer-facing skills.
• Full UK driving licence.

Responsibilities

• Install, repair, maintain and upgrade fire doors and associated components.
• Carry out fire door remedial and corrective works.
• Undertake general carpentry works as required.
• Assess doors, frames, hinges, closers, seals, locks and other fire door components.
• Ensure completed works meet required fire safety standards and specifications.
• Identify defects and recommend appropriate remedial solutions.
• Maintain accurate job records and documentation.
• Work safely and professionally while on client sites.
• Liaise with supervisors, clients and other trades where required.
• Maintain a high standard of workmanship and customer service.
