Job summary

Energy Jobline ZR is seeking an experienced Carpenter / Fire Door Maintenance Engineer to service fire doors across Bristol and surrounding areas. The role includes carrying out maintenance and repairs, preparing quotations, and ensuring compliance with fire door standards.

Applicants should have NVQ Level 2 in Carpentry or equivalent, strong carpentry skills, and the ability to produce accurate reports and clear client communications. Salary is £38,000–£40,000 per year.

Qualifications

• NVQ Level 2 in Carpentry or equivalent.
• Strong carpentry and maintenance skills.
• Knowledge of fire door legislation and relevant standards.
• Experience inspecting, maintaining and repairing fire doors.
• Ability to prepare labour and materials estimates.
• Strong communication and reporting skills.

Responsibilities

• Carry out maintenance and repair works on fire doors across Bristol and surrounding areas.
• Ensure all works comply with current Building Regulations, fire door legislation and relevant standards.
• Assess jobs and prepare accurate quotations detailing labour hours and required materials.
• Liaise with clients and provide clear explanations of technical requirements.
• Inspect completed works and certify that fire doors meet required standards.
• Complete and submit certification and documentation for client records.
• Maintain accurate job records and progress updates in internal systems.
• Support Account Manager and Billing Team with queries for invoicing.
