Checkmate Fire Solutions Ltd, a leading UK provider of passive fire protection, is seeking skilled Fire Door Joiners to join our North London operations team. You will install, inspect and upgrade fire doors to the highest standards across multiple sites.

Qualifications

• Proven joinery experience with fire doors.
• Knowledge of fire door regulations and compliance standards.
• NVQ or City & Guilds in Carpentry/Joinery preferred.
• FIRAS or BM TRADA accreditation desirable.
• Full UK driving licence.
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
• Strong attention to detail and commitment to quality.

Responsibilities

• Installing and upgrading fire doors and frames to required standards.
• Carrying out fire door inspections, repairs, and maintenance.
• Ensuring all work complies with certification schemes (BM TRADA / FIRAS).
• Accurately complete job reports and documentation.
• Liaising with site managers and clients professionally.

What You'll Be Doing

• Installing and upgrading fire doors and frames to required standards
• Carrying out fire door inspections, repairs, and maintenance
• Ensuring all work complies with BM TRADA / FIRAS / relevant certification schemes
• Accurately complete job reports and documentation
• Working across multiple sites, maintaining high standards of workmanship
• Liaising with site managers and clients professionally

What We Are Looking For

• Proven experience as a joiner/carpenter with fire door experience
• Strong knowledge of fire door regulations and compliance standards
• Relevant NVQ or City & Guilds in Carpentry/Joinery (preferred)
• FIRAS, BM TRADA, or equivalent accreditation (desirable)
• Full UK driving licence
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team
• Strong attention to detail and commitment to quality
