Job summary

Daniel Owen Ltd is seeking an experienced Fire Door Joiner to support a long-term social housing programme across North Yorkshire. You will carry out fire door replacement and installation, plus remedial works, ensuring compliance with fire safety standards.

The role requires a Blue CSCS Card, a full UK driving licence, and certificates including Manual Handling, Working at Heights, Asbestos Awareness, DBS and Face Fit Testing.

Qualifications

• Blue CSCS Card or higher.
• Full UK Driving Licence.
• Willingness to complete a Basic DBS Check and Face Fit Testing.

Responsibilities

• Rip out and replacement of existing fire doors.
• Installation of new fire door sets; remedial works.
• Adjustments and remedial works including ease & adjust.
• Ensure installations meet fire door compliance standards.
• Complete works within occupied and void social housing properties.
• Record completed works and follow site procedures.
• Maintain a clean and safe working environment.

Fire Door Joiner

Location: North Yorkshire (Scarborough, Filey, York & Middlesbrough)

Start Date: ASAP

Rate: £210 per day

Vehicle: Company Van & Fuel Card Provided

We are currently recruiting for an experienced Fire Door Joiner to join a long-term programme of works across social housing properties throughout North Yorkshire.

This role will involve carrying out fire door replacement and installation works, as well as associated remedial repairs, ensuring all work is completed to the highest standard and in line with fire safety regulations.

Duties Will Include:

• Rip out and replacement of existing fire doors
• Installation of new fire door sets
• Adjustments and remedial works including ease & adjust
• Ensuring installations meet fire door compliance standards
• Completing works within occupied and void social housing properties
• Recording completed works and following site procedures
• Maintaining a clean and safe working environment

Performance Expectations:

• Minimum expectation of 2 fire door installations per day
• Consistently delivering high-quality workmanship
• Working efficiently to programme deadlines

Requirements:

• Blue CSCS Card (or above)
• Proven experience installing fire doors and completing remedial works
• Manual Handling Certificate
• Working at Heights Certificate
• Asbestos Awareness Certificate
• Full UK Driving Licence
• Willingness to complete a Basic DBS Check
• Willingness to complete Face Fit Testing
• Strong understanding of fire door regulations and compliance standards
