Job summary

DCS Recruitment is seeking an experienced Fire Door Joiner for permanent, full-time work across East Anglia. You will install, inspect and remediate fire doors and perform basic firestopping, with a focus on safety and compliance.

You must hold a full UK driving licence and be capable of working independently on site, with high workmanship standards. A joinery qualification or fire door training is advantageous, and a company vehicle is provided.

Qualifications

Responsibilities

• Install new fire doors and doorsets.
• Carry out remedial repairs and adjustments to existing fire doors.
• Replace and fit fire door components, including hinges, closers, intumescent seals, locks and hardware.
• Carry out basic firestopping works where required.
• Identify defects and complete appropriate remedial works.
• Ensure completed works meet relevant fire safety standards and specifications.
• Maintain accurate records of completed works.
• Work safely and professionally on client sites.
• Travel throughout the East Anglia area as required.

Fire Door Joiner – East Anglia

Salary: £42,000 per annum + annual leave entitlement
Location: East Anglia
Employment Type: Permanent, Full-Time

We are looking for an experienced and reliable Fire Door Joiner to join our team on a permanent basis, carrying out fire door installations, remedial repairs and basic firestopping works across the East Anglia area.

A company vehicle will be provided for the role, therefore applicants must hold a full UK driving licence.

The Role

The successful candidate will be responsible for installing, inspecting and carrying out remedial works to fire doors, along with basic firestopping works, across a range of properties.

The role requires a high standard of workmanship, attention to detail and a good understanding of fire door requirements and fire safety compliance.

Key responsibilities include:

• Installation of new fire doors and doorsets
• Carrying out remedial repairs and adjustments to existing fire doors
• Replacing and fitting fire door components, including hinges, closers, intumescent seals, locks and hardware
• Carrying out basic firestopping works where required
• Identifying defects and completing appropriate remedial works
• Ensuring completed works meet relevant fire safety standards and specifications
• Maintaining accurate records of completed works
• Working safely and professionally while on client sites
• Travelling throughout the East Anglia area as required

A relevant joinery qualification and/or recognised fire door training or certification would be advantageous.
