Job summary

Checkmate Fire Solutions Ltd in the United Kingdom is seeking skilled Fire Door Joiners to join our expanding operations team. You will install and maintain fire doors across multiple sites, ensuring high workmanship and compliance with fire safety standards.

Qualifications

• Proven experience as a joiner/carpenter with fire door experience.
• Strong knowledge of fire door regulations and compliance standards.
• NVQ or City & Guilds in Carpentry/Joinery (preferred).
• FIRAS, BM TRADA, or equivalent accreditation (desirable).
• Full UK driving licence.
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
• Strong attention to detail and commitment to quality.

Responsibilities

• Installing and upgrading fire doors and frames to required standards
• Carrying out fire door inspections, repairs, and maintenance
• Ensuring all work complies with BM TRADA / FIRAS / relevant certification schemes
• Accurately complete job reports and documentation
• Working across multiple sites, maintaining high standards of workmanship
• Liaising with site managers and clients professionally
