Job summary

Magenta Recruitment Ltd in East Anglia is seeking a Fire Door Installer/Maintainer Operative for a permanent role with a 40-hour week and a starting salary of £43,680 per annum.

You will install, inspect, and maintain fire door sets across occupied sites including social housing, healthcare, and education, traveling across Norfolk, Suffolk, Essex, Cambridge, Peterborough, and Hertfordshire. Full training provided and a company vehicle.

Qualifications

• Minimum of 3 years’ experience in fire door installation and/or maintenance.
• Strong understanding of manufacturer guidance and compliant installation practices.
• Experience using fire evidence or audit apps (desirable, training provided).

Responsibilities

• Install certified fire door sets in line with manufacturer guidance and standards.
• Maintain and remediate fire doors including relipping, closers and signage.
• Work in accordance with FIRAS/BM TRADA standards and fire safety regulations.
• Troubleshoot non-compliant installations and rectify defects.
• Record works accurately using fire evidence and QA systems.
• Travel across East Anglia to various sites, including occupied buildings.
