Fire Door Inspector

Salary: £40,000 per annum plus package

Location: Manchester (work nationwide)

Our client, a well-established joinery and fit-out contractor, is seeking experienced surveyors to conduct fire door inspections across the UK.

The successful candidate will have a proven track record in providing high-quality surveying services, ideally with a background in fire compartmentation.

Experience with fire doors and BM Trada standards is desirable, but not essential, as training will be provided.

Key Responsibilities:

1. Conduct formal door condition reports in accordance with the BM Trada certification scheme, including intrusive/architrave surveys, and upload data into recording software.
2. Generate data, produce, and format all reports for door surveys, including executive summaries, for submission to the Technical Director prior to client quotations.
3. Perform measurements on production sites for new door sets and related products such as side screens, fanlights, and over panels, and upload information into Boris.
4. Attend tender and quotation handover meetings with the operations team to understand project-specific requirements.

While the office is based in Manchester, the role requires nationwide travel. A vehicle will be provided, but you must be prepared to work from home for extended periods as needed.
