Job summary

Allen & York are seeking an FDIS Certified Fire Door Inspector / Fire Door Surveyor to join a growing specialist fire protection business operating across commercial, residential, student accommodation and leisure sectors throughout the UK. The role is flexible in location and will require travel as required.

You will carry out inspections and surveys, identify defects and non-compliance, and produce clear reports using digital surveying tools and mobile apps.

Qualifications

• 5+ years' experience in fire doors / passive fire protection / joinery.
• Strong knowledge of fire door compliance.
• Excellent attention to detail and communication skills.
• IT literacy and confidence using tablets/apps.
• Full UK driving licence and willingness to travel.

Responsibilities

• Fire door inspections and surveys across UK sites.
• Identify defects, non-compliance and remedial actions.
• Produce detailed inspection reports with photographic evidence.
• Use digital surveying tools and mobile apps.
• Liaise with clients, residents and contractors.
