Job summary

Skilled Careers is seeking a tradesperson in the UK to install fire doors, measure openings precisely, and fit components using hand and power tools. You will ensure compliance with safety standards and inspect completed work for proper operation and security.

Hours are 08:00–16:00, Monday to Friday. The role offers £260 a day and requires reading schematics, following drawings, and collaborating with roofing, plumbing, electrical, masonry, or painting teams.

Qualifications

• Proven experience in construction-related roles such as carpentry, fabrication, or masonry.
• NVQ L2 or equivalent.
• Proficiency with hand tools and power tools used in installation work.
• Knowledge of schematics and technical drawings related to fire door systems.
• Ability to read technical instructions and follow safety protocols diligently.
• Strong organisational skills with attention to detail.
• Physical fitness to handle lifting heavy materials and working at heights or in confined spaces.
